Global Disputes,
Gulf-Asia Focus,
Decisive Outcomes.

Who We Are

We are an international disputes chambers anchored in Singapore at Maxwell Chambers, with a Gulf-Asia Focus across Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai (DIFC). Our practice spans the full life cycle of complex disputes. We act both as counsel and independent neutral, bringing to every mandate the perspective and insight gained from both roles. As an independent neutral, we issue orders and awards as arbitrator, make determinations as adjudicator under statutory and contractual regimes, serve on dispute boards for FIDIC based and other international projects, and facilitate consensual outcomes as mediator.

As a conflict free chambers, we bring to every mandate professionalism, deep sectoral expertise, cultural fluency, clarity of thinking, and a strong track record across matters internationally, including numerous high stakes, “bet the company” disputes with a nexus to Asia and the Gulf. Our service is highly personalised and rigorously client centric.

As counsel, we work in an agile, efficient and collaborative manner to deliver commercial outcomes in close partnership with in house teams, co counsel from other law firms and barristers where appropriate. We resource matters deliberately according to the nature, complexity and stage of each dispute, rather than by reference to firm headcount or capacity.

How We Are Instructed

Linden is instructed on matters that call for careful assessment of merits and strategy, clarity of execution, and experienced judgment. We are typically engaged by corporates, financial institutions, states and state owned entities, investors, and family offices facing complex or high stakes disputes. Instructions often arise at inflection points — when disputes are emerging, crystallising and escalating, and a careful consideration of the avoidance or resolution pathways is required.

As counsel, we are engaged either directly by clients or through instructing co-counsel. We are accustomed to working collaboratively within established teams and frequently act as lead counsel or as strategic disputes counsel alongside local counsel, subject matter specialists, or barristers, depending on the needs of the matter.

As an independent neutral, we accept appointments as arbitrators, adjudicators, dispute board members, and mediators, whether nominated by parties, co arbitrators, institutions, or appointing authorities. We approach each appointment with independence, diligent preparation, and due regard to the procedural and commercial context of the dispute.
International Arbitration
We act in complex international commercial arbitrations seated in key arbitration hubs, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai (DIFC). Our experience spans arbitrations conducted under major institutional rules or on an ad hoc basis, ranging from contractual disputes to technically complex, high-value matters where billions are at stake.

As counsel – often acting in a lead role – we bring strategic clarity, deep sectoral expertise, and rigorous advocacy to every stage of the arbitral process. Our work covers pre-arbitral strategy and negotiations, merits and procedural assessment, substantive advocacy, and the cross-border enforcement of awards. As independent arbitrators, we conduct arbitrations with procedural rigour, fairness and efficiency, and deliver clear, well-reasoned, and enforceable awards.
Commercial Litigation
We act in complex commercial litigation as part of an integrated disputes strategy. Our team appears as advocates and solicitors before all levels of the courts in Singapore.

Our work includes applications for interim and conservatory relief in aid of arbitration, such as anti-suit injunctions, asset freezing and Mareva injunctions, preliminary attachments, and other interim measures to preserve assets and evidence pending resolution and enforcement. We also act in proceedings relating to the setting aside, recognition, and enforcement of domestic and international arbitral awards, as well as in asset tracing and execution proceedings to realise arbitral awards and court judgments.
Project Counselling
We provide active project counselling on projects worldwide, including, where appropriate, front-end advisory support. We assist clients in identifying, assessing, and managing risks, issues, claims, and disputes as they emerge, crystallise and escalate during project execution.

Working closely with in house teams, technical consultants and commercial stakeholders, we offer practical and timely guidance on contract interpretation and merits, claims strategy and management, dispute avoidance, and dispute resolution pathways through appropriate processes. We work as an integrated part of the project team, supporting successful project delivery while preserving our clients’ legal and commercial positions.
Dispute Avoidance and Adjudication
Drawing on deep sectoral expertise, we advise clients on dispute avoidance strategies throughout the life cycle of FIDIC-based and other projects worldwide. This includes the early and proactive identification, assessment and management of risks, issues, claims, and disputes as they arise and develop during project execution.

We also accept appointments as members of both standing and ad hoc dispute boards, including FIDIC Dispute Adjudication Boards and Dispute Avoidance/Adjudication Boards, and adjudicator under statutory or contractual regimes. In these roles, we deliver determinations – and where appropriate, recommendations – often on matters that are technically and legally complex and/or time sensitive. Our focus is on providing timely and reasoned determinations or recommendations that facilitate commercially workable solutions at the project level, while minimising unnecessary escalation.
Mediation
We act as counsel and as mediators in both institutional and ad hoc mediations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and internationally, facilitating the consensual resolution of disputes. Drawing on our experience in both roles, we assist parties in identifying practical solutions that manage risk and preserve commercial relationships.

Our approach to mediation is disciplined, commercially grounded, and outcome driven.
